G2 USA Contracting Team – hard at work for our clients at IPW

The biggest gathering of the US Travel Industry’s “Who is Who” is IPW, formerly known as International Pow Wow. IPW is not only one of the leading international travel trade shows, it is also national showcase of America, where U.S. travel exhibitors connect with travel buyers and media from more than 70 countries. At IPW we learn about new trends in activities, transportation and attractions, form new, reaffirm established relationships and get together as a US travel family.

Every year in a different US city, this year’s show took place in Anaheim California and hosted about 6200 delegates from around the world for 3 days of pre-scheduled business appointments, followed by events to showcase the newest shows, theme parks, destinations, culinary delights from all over the United States.

California Plaza with it’s DEAM BIG campaign was at the heart of the show. The state’s tourism office shone a perfect light on the many sights and activities that the Golden State has to offer. The beautiful setting inspired our team to truly DREAM BIG for G2 Travel and it’s clients.

G2 Travel USA was represented with 6 Destination Managers traveling on the exhibition floor as buyers securing the best deals for our client’s tours. The team was hard at work and managed to meet 245 suppliers during 264 appointments. A G2 Travel exhibitor booth was managed by the North America Sales team who was meeting existing and potential clients, talking about our capabilities and rapid expansion of our US Expert team.

The team returned home enthusiastic about their experience with many creative ideas for more, better and exciting products through all areas of US Travel. They will spend the next weeks following up on the connections that were made in Anaheim to get the product out to our clients and helping them shine and win business for our mutual success.

Next year’s IPW will take place in Las Vegas so a befitting tongue-in-cheek good bye picture was taken on the last day taking to the skies to float to Las Vegas – See you there!
