Here, discover why Butchart Gardens are world-famous for ornate landscaping and superb Italian, Japanese, and Rose Gardens.

A guided tour features such sights as the Parliament Buildings, the British Columbia Provincial Museum, Beacon Hill Park and Christ Church Cathedral.
Overnight: Victoria
Begin the day at the Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion, Craigdarroch Castle. Built by coal baron Robert Dunsmuir this National Historic Site has been meticulously restored and gives a glimpse of the privileged life in the 1890s. Estates like Craigdarroch can otherwise be found in the Newport area of the Eastern United States attached to the names like Vanderbilt, Rockefeller and such. It has been said that many of the daughters of families of wealth in this era were married off to the Old World in England promising an infusion of cash for decaying estates against a title and prestige in the new world.
The afternoon is at leisure, perhaps after learning about the nobles oblige style of the famous of the 1800’s, enjoy a high tea at the Fairmont Hotel or for a more educational time visit the Royal BC museum.
A good customization option would be to add on a whale watching tour as the shores around Victoria are home to a resident pod of Orca Whales that can frequently be seen on a speed boat tour.
