If you love amazing food, great music and a slower pace, you’re going to have a good ole’ time in the South. Memphis and Nashville are the birthplace of Jazz, Country, the Blues and Rock and Roll and New Orleans the home of Cajun cuisine. After your have partied in the deep south you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the beaches of Florida before heading north to the quaint and charming Charleston, South Carolina.
Nashville is the capitol of Country Music. Stroll along Music Row with its many recording studios, visit the famous Grand Ole Opry while enjoying the city’s beautiful antebellum architecture.
Visit Graceland, the estate of Elvis Presley, the National Civil Rights Museum and Sun Studios and the vibrant sights and sounds of Beale Street. Music is the main attraction of Memphis and it doesn’t disappoint.
In the evening the French Quarter turns into a street party. In the day visit Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, the Garden District and the river front with its many restaurants along the Mississippi River.
Walk along the picturesque street of Charleston, enter the oak tree line entrance to the Boone Hall Plantation, the oldest working plantation and shop for souvenirs from local venders at the Historic Charleston City Market.

Atlanta offers many attractions as well as being historically interesting. Visit Stone Mountain Park, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, Centennial Olympic Park or tour the World of Coca Cola Museum. Also popular are tours of the CNN center, you may even catch a newscast being broadcasted.
Tucked between the mountains of Southeast Tennessee and along the beautiful Tennessee River is the city of Chattanooga, known for the famous Choo Choo Train. Enjoy the beautiful mountain-view surrounding Chattanooga on top of Lookout Mountain or stroll the Riverwalk, lined with restaurants, parks and riverboats.
Nashville’s downtown area, also called Music Row, is known for its nightlife and endless country music spilling out into the street. Many of the city’s attractions are related to music and musicians still call this home when they are producing their latest music. No visit would be complete without stopping at the Grand Ole Opry or the Country Music Hall of Fame. A must see is Centennial Park which has a full-scale Replica of the Parthenon, which was built in 1897 for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.
Today leave the heartland of Country Music and head to Memphis, the home of The Blues and the birthplace of Rock & Roll. Memphis has a wide variety of culinary experiences but is probably best known for its world-famous barbeque. Enjoy a great meal before spending the evening bar hoping and enjoying all the music Beale Street has to offer.
Tour of Memphis can include downtown and the Beale Street Entertainments District, Graceland which is the estate of Elvis Presley, the National Civil Rights Museum, the Rock & Soul Museum and Sun Studios which was the recording facility where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, BB King and Roy Orbison began their careers.
In the evening enjoy live entertainment at one of the many venues on Beale Street.
Today you will leave Memphis and travel part of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a road with an ancient history that was once travelled by traders and Indians through the swampy region. Natchez is famous for its pre-Civil War mansions built by wealthy cotton farmers. Visit some of these gorgeous homes, experience the restored Natchez Under-the-Hill with its colorful shops and restaurants.
Today you travel through the heart of Cajun Country. Expect a late afternoon arrival in New Orleans where you’ll enjoy two days to let the good times roll. Enjoy the evening experience to sights and sounds of the French Quarter.
Welcome to the Big Easy! Today’s tour visits the French Quarter, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, the Garden District as well as the river front with its many restaurants along the Mississippi River. Take a cruise on the Steamboat Natchez, visit the Mardi Gras Museum or make a stop for beignets and coffee at Café Du Monde.
Today you’ll leave New Orleans and travel to Pensacola, well known for its beautiful white sand beaches. Driving along the Gulf Coast you will enter Mississippi where there are many tempting casinos in Biloxi. Arrive in Pensacola in time to enjoy the sun and sand.
Leaving Pensacola today for St. Augustine, the oldest city in America! Founded in 1565, St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied settlement of European origin in the contiguous United States. St. Augustine served as the colonial capital of Spanish Florida for 200 years. Visit the old Spanish fort Castillo de San Marcos, climb to the top of St. Augustine Lighthouse or stroll the pedestrian-only St. George Street.
Today, off to Savannah, Georgia! Located on the mighty Savannah River and the gateway to the “Low Country”, the town is alive with Southern charm. Dating back to the 1840’s, visit the 30-acre Forsyth Park and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and explore the Savannah Waterfront and Marketplace.
Discover the culture and traditions of the Low Country between Savannah and Charleston. Swampy wildlife preserves give glimpses of its pristine coastline and wildlife, including alligators. Stop for a stroll through the charming Intercoastal island community of Beaufort once the hide-a-way of pre-Civil War plantation aristocracy. Arrive in Charleston by late afternoon.
The first shots of the Civil War were fired in Charleston, a city known for its splendid architecture and where life moves at a slow pace. During your tour you will be surrounded by history, magnificent 18th century homes and plantations, spectacular gardens and public buildings that have been in use for centuries.
Head south to Atlanta where a memorable trip comes to an end at Atlanta International Airport. Chances are you’ll return home with a bit of a southern accent.
